Hi! Today we decided to share some tips with you on how to grow your LinkedIn page. LinkedIn, one of the big 4. Although it might seem different from the other three big social media platforms, some things remain the same.
Post regularly
Not only what you post on the LinkedIn page is important but also when you post it. You have to post enough to stay relevant but timing is of the essence. The best time to post on LinkedIn is between 7 – 8 a.m. and 5 – 6 p.m. This is the time period when the majority of people goes to work and gets back home from work. People in public transportation are likely to scroll and those who get to their office earlier might take a minute or two to check their social media.
This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t post throughout the day. Posting regularly increases post visibility and engagement and you want to get EVERY piece of that pie.
Post various content
Try making it fun and engaging, nobody likes boring content. Although you may think your business is serious, and it is, the things surrounding it don’t have to be.
Throw in links to your blog posts (this is a good way to make them visit your website, they might explore even more outside the blog section), news and updates about your company (they aren’t likely to google your company for news so this is a good way to let them know what’s happening), visuals such as photos, videos and graphics (let’s face it, everything is easier to remember when we can clearly visualize it as opposed to just a bunch of information on a sheet of paper), and interesting articles (you don’t have to share only your content. Share something interesting on LinkedIn page that is connected to your line of work. Pro tip: post content that is “engageable”. Post a question that will make your followers comment so that you can comment back).
Optimize your LinkedIn page for SEO
Fill in as much information as possible using descriptive keywords. This will boost your page and it will be ranked higher on Google. Also, use hashtags. They might seem annoying sometimes but using relevant hashtags can help people find the information they need, and you should be the one giving that information.
Post in groups
Posting in groups on narrow topics can make you stand out in the eyes of your followers. You can start a topic or simply engage with good information and relevant hashtags. You can also encourage your employees to participate in group discussions. They can always give an inside opinion and boost that communication flow.
Learn from LinkedIn page analytics
There is a ton of demographic information about your followers, you just need to know how to use it. Analyse the data you have been given and adapt. You need to give your followers what they want and not all content is suitable for all demographics. You have to realize what their pain points are and not just guess. Research and when you know who your audience is, success will be inevitable
